Daily Mails are despatched from Patea as follow :—For Waverley, Waitotara and Wanganui 7.15 a.m. 12.45 pan. ; For Wellington direct, Kai Iwi, Okehu, 12.45 pm; For Manutahi, Hawera, Normanby, Stratford, Waitara and New Plymouth 10.45 am, 5 p m ; For Kakaramea, Otakeho, Manaia, Opunake, Mungawhero and Ngaire 10.45 am. NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY. This Office will be closed all day on New Year’s Day. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL. The next English and European Mail via San Francisco will close on Saturday the 6th day of January at 10.45 a.m. Money Orders cannot be issued after 4 p.m. on Friday the 3rd January. E, G. makes four visits in the year between New Plymouth Mid Palmerston, calling at all the towns and country districts ; having with him a good supply of all kinds of material for repairing Pianos, Harmoniums, &c, &c. Pianos tuned by the year. Orders left with Mr H. I. Jones, Hawera ; Mr Gower, Patea ; Mr Fookes, Commission Agent, Wavcrley, will receive prompt attention.
