WELLINGTON, This day. Weather forecast for 24 hours, from 9 a.m. to-day:-—Wind—between northeast and north-west at all places north of Lyttelton and Hokitika, and between north-east and south-east at all other places. Barometer—-further fall at all stations, but rising generally after 20 hours. Sen—heavy on both coasts. Warnings for gales ns above indicated and heavy rain have been sent to all stations.

Synopsis of last 24 hours—Throughout the country there has been a further but slow rise of the barometer, and it has also fallen a little at all places south of Napier and Wanganui since night.
