DEATH OF A CATHOLIC PRIEST.
.[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, This day,
The Rev Father Moran, who has been a priest of the Catholic Church in New Zealand for many years, and was formerly in charge of the present Diocese of Dunedin, died here this morning, aged 71. He had been up the river for a few months, instituting a new church amongst the Maoris at Jerusalem, and, being ill, came down to town, where, after a month in bed, he succumbed.
