HAWERA SALE. Messrs Nolan, Tonks and Co had a capital sale on Thursday. There was a large attendance, spirited bidding, and about 500 head of stock were moved off at good prices. Forward cows and calves brought £2 16s to £3 IGs 6d ; good yearlings (mixed), from 27s up to £2 Is 6>l ; two-year-old steers, up to £2 16s bd ; three-year-old steers, up to £8 15s 5d ; three and steeis, from £4 13s 6d to £5 2s 6d. Wether hoggets in wool, lls ; fat sheep (shorn), 8s lOd to9< 9d.
