EXTRAORDINARY TERMINATION OF AN ELOPEMENT.
A very painful feeling was occasioned in Liverpool a short lime ago by the ahnbuhbembnt (hat the wife of a well 7 known tradesman had eloped wnh a friend of her husband, who was also extensively engaged in business in that city. Neither of the parties were very young, and both left families behind thorn. The case was, by the injured husband, put into the hands of his legal advisers, with the intention of proceeding to obtain a divorce. But matters have taken a very extraordinary turn since then. It was ascertained that the runaways went first to Manchester, then proceeded to New York in the steamer Spain, and a little while ago returned again to Liverpool from America in the WhiteStnrstearner Germanic. On reaching Liverpool the strange lb decided to make it up; the runaway wife has gone hack, and is now living with her husband again, and the man who ‘ doped with her has also returned to his wife. So that* aftc* tlm extraofdihary escapade, all has ended happily.
