THE LONGHURST CASE.

His Excellency the Governor has informed Ministers that lie has gone fully into the several matters relating to Longhnrsl’s case, and regrets that he can arrive at no other conclusion than that Longhnrst is guilty of the crime of which he was convicted in April, 1880, and that his release would he a grevious miscarriage of justice, and a serious injury to the public at largo.
