Wind—between north-west and southwest at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between north-east and north-west at all other places. Barometer—further fall at all places south of Napier and New Plymouth, and falling slowly within 24 hours at all other places.

Sea—heavy on western coasts, and between Napier and Lyttelton oncost coast. Warnings for northerly gales have been sent to all places south of Napier and New Plymouth. Synopsis of last 24 hours—The weather has continued fine in all parts of the country ami the barometer has fallen during the night at places southward of Napier and New Plymouth, but. has continued to rise slowly everywhere else.
