Goldsborongh ami Co. (limited) offered 7100 bales at the wool sales today. 6400 bales were sold, greasy reaching np to 15d, and scoured to 20d. A good demand was. experienced, especially on the part of American and Continental buyers. Nov 15. An enthusiastic meeting was held last night at the Town Hall for the purpose of bidding farewell to the Rev C. Strong, late of the Sco’s’ Church, who leaves for England to-day. The Presbyterian Assembly has, for the past two days, been discussingMr Mac* dteran’s charges against the Rev M* The latter was invited to hi tend the Assembly but declined, declaring that the charges against him imputed dishonesty, and were, dishonourable. .

The Presbyterian Assembly last night, by a large majority, adopted the
motion, declaring that the Rev diaries Strong is no longer a minister of the Presbyterian Church. Further intelligence to hand from Alice Springs states that Giles, who recently returned from the search for the missing explorers, underwent great suffering during the journey.
