WAVERLEY TOWN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Monday, November 5. Present Messrs Napier, Muir, McFarlane and Mason (chairman). Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from Fookes, Ward, and Otago Daily Times.: Resolved—That the Board refund to Mr Fookes (collector) the sura of 10s 3d for postage paid : That the pffice of the Board be advertised in the Mail in accordance with the Act: that the chairman acknowledge receipt of Mr Ward’s letter and enquire amount of claim : That the Board obtain a copy of tiie supplement to Vincent Pykes Han y Bo £‘ McFarlane reported that the Hall would require several new ■J ~oc ®. . suggested that some e i jlvegteps as he did not insider it ad vi«. The Chairman reported the receipt of Mr Rasmussen’s resignation, and the election of Mr John Muir.

Resolved—That the Chairman and Messrs Napier and Muir be a committee to adjust accounts between the Town and Domain Boards and report at next meeting. Resolved—That the collector be instructed to advertise that all rates unpaid after the 19th inst. will bo sued for. Messrs Muir and Napier were appointed a committee to examine the books of the late Pouudkeeper, and report at next meeting. It was resolved, That the Chairman and Mr Muir arrange with Bank re overdraft, and report to adjourned meeting on Monday, also that the attention of the Council receiving the fees for auctioneers’ licenses to Clause 20 of the Town Districts Amendment Act, 1883, and request them to pnj' over moneys in accordance with same. The meeting then adjourned to Monday the 12th inst., at 8 p.m.
