Taplin v Olaiudge Judgment summons. This was a case adjourned from a recent Court day in order that a balance of 5s might bo paid. Money ordered to be paid forthwith or in default. 24 hours imprisonment. Taplin v Hamper —Claim 8s 6d, goods supplied to p s. Lyttelton. Plaintiff said that when the Lyttelton was here the mate ordered some things for the ship and told witness to charge (hem to the ship which witness did, and ho now sought to recover from the then owner, .
His Worship said that from the evidence taken in Nelson it appeared that the vessel ..was chartered to the captain and the owners disclaimed any liability. The case was adjourned till the 16th insfc. This was all the business.
