AUCKLAND, This day.

•At Te Awamntu on Saturday Trooper James Weal while marking at the Rifle-Range was accidentally shot hy Trooper Alexander who was firing at the 400 yards range. The bullet struck \Veal near the point of the right shoulder crossing the body and is supposed to her lodged in the left lung ns no point of exit is visible. Weal incautiously canio out of tlie butts just as Alexander pulled the trigger. There are but slight hopes of recovery. Curiously enough Mr Weal the father, himself a member of the corps, was accidently shot at target practice some time ago. " !
