Weather forecast for 24- .hours, from 9 n.m. to-day ;- . f t Wind—between northeast and northwest at all places/north of Napier and Now Plymouth, and between northeast and spulbeast/at all other places. ~ Barometer—fall-at all places within 12 hours. Sea—rheavy on western coast knd between Napier and Lyttelton. . Warnings for.gales as above indicated and ram have, been scut -to all places north of Lyttelton and Hokitika. .Synopsis of last 48 hours—North ward oL /Lyttelton and Hokitika the barometer has continued to rise slowly since, Saturday evening. Very little movement took place in other parts of the country until Sunday afternoon but since then, it has .fallen slowly. /The weather has been moderate and' fine since- Saturday evening excepting on the East Coast, between Kaikonra and Napier, where a strong-southerly gale with : heavy rain continued until ■ past midnight on Sunday. *
