Weather forecast for 24 hours, - from 9 a.m. to-day ; Wind—between southwest and northwest at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between north-east and southeast at all other places. Barometer—further rise at all sta tions. Sea—increasing on Eastern coast. Synopsis of last 48 hours—Northward of Napier and New Plymouth the barometer has con tinned rising, and from thence southward it rose fast daring Saturday afternoon, but fell again slightly on Sunday morning, and has risen steadily since the alternoon. There have been heavy, .southerly gales generally with exceptionally cold weather in all parts of the country.
