CRICKET.
At a committee meeting of the Patek Cricket Club, held on Saturday evening, it was decided that the undermentioned programme for season matches be carried out if practicable, viz : Hawera, on the 271h inst., at Hawera. Return, on the 19th January, at Patea. Waverley, on the 17th Nov., at Patea. Return, on the 9th Feb, at Waverley. Wanganui, on the 30th Nov., at Patea. New Plymouth, on 26th Dec., at Patea. White Cliffs, on the 27th Dec., at Patea. Manaia, on the 10th Nov., at Manaia, Return, on the 26th Jan,, at Patea. Marton, Easter Saturday, atMarton. Palmerston, Easter Monday, at Palmerston. A match, Town v. Country, will be played at Patea next Saturday ; so we trust that the country folks' will put in appearance b} T two o’clock at the latest.
