It has transpired that; a demand was made to llie French Government for farther reparation than .'that .already, ac corded by President apology for the insult offered to King. Alfonso in Paris. The demand: having beemrefused by the French Government King Alfonso required that further action should be taken in the matter ; but, as the Spanish Ministry have now been unable to agree that such course was necessary, Premier Sonor Sagasta tendered to his Majesty the resignations of himself and hill colleagues.
