PATEA EAST ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was hejd at their office, Patea, on Saturday afternoon. Present Messrs Gower (Chairman,) Shcihl, Palmer, and Fleetwood.
It was resolved that Messrs Gower and Sheild be a Committee to draw up specifications for work through deferred payment land. Proposed by Mr Fleetwood. (< That the mover he empowered by the Board to call for lenders for work required on Putahi Road, and pass the same on being finished.” Seconded by Mr Sheild and carried.
In consequence of Mr A. Gower having left the district Mr Sheild moved M TharMr i%ft--GlT}viccr-rfisi@n.his acnLon the Board.” Seconded by the Chairman and carried.
Through the pegs marking part of what is sometimes known as the Putahi road having been shifted by a man employed by the Board some years since it was resolved “ That Mr Fleetwood be empowered to employ a surveyor to lay off the road bounding -sections 454, 439.” It was also resolved that 8 guineas be appropriated for the work. The amounts to be apportioned to roads under the Board’s control having been decided, an adjournment was made.
