WELLINGTON, This day. Weather forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day.

Wind—between north-east and south east in both islands.

Barometer—fall at all places north of East Capo and New Plymouth after 12 hours. Very little movement elsewhere, but falling generally. Sea—heavy on East Coast northward of East Cape. Telegrams to expect falling barometer and strong easterly winds have been sent to all places north of Gisborne, Taupo and New Plymouth.

Synopsis of last 24 hours—The weather has continued fine everywhere with slowly rising barameter.
