SERIOUS ACCIDENT NEAR NORMANBY.

On Monday, reports tho Star, a nasty accident occurred to Mr Eagles, baker, Normnnhy. Ho was out delivering broad along tho Mountain road, between Normanby and Kelemarao, when a trace broke, and the cart backed down a sleep incline, and then wont over an embankment nearly 20 foot deep, dropping into the Tawliifci stream. Mr Eagles had two boys with him in the cart, the elder of whom seeing the danger jumped out before the cart left the road, but tho other with Mr Eagles, remained in the cart. Mr Eagles was badly bruised on his right side, particularly on the thigh ; while the lad was not only bruised, but nearly drowned. He became entangled in the watercress and oilier growth in tho stream, and with groat difficulty extricated himself. The cart was very badly damaged ; in fact, almost broken to pieces. It is a matter of wonder that the occupants were not killed.
