The Daily News, in its issue of to-day, published a telegram from its Natal correspondent stating that King Cetewayo has expressed his willingness to surrender to British authorities as requested. A verdict for plaintiff, with damages £2 has been returned in the action brought by Joseph Thompson, the well known bookmaker, against the Adelaide Racing Club, for wrongful expulsion from the enclosure in May last. TLlfcj Court held that the Club’s lease of course was not a valid one. MELBOURNE, Sept 27. Before his exeention on Tuesday last, Burns, the murderer of Michael Quinlivan, confessed that he had committed eight different murders, five in Victoria, and three in New South Wales.
