BOROUGH EXPENDITURE.

———♦ TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Sjuce so much money has been expended on Bedford street, the very least the Council raight.do is to protect the work that is done from sand drifting over it. The pathway from Mr G. Beamish’s Hotel to the Masonic is almost all covered np with drifting sand ; so is also the pathway between Mr Aitchison’s and Mr Odgers’. The whole of those sand banks should be planted with iceplant, it could be done at a very small cost. Trusting this hint will suffice.—l am, &c., A Ratepayer. Sept 27.
