Sir Arthur Blythe, Agent-General for South Australia, invited tenders for his Governmcntfor a loan of £1,500,000. The minimum fixed is at 98£. Sir Anthony Mnsgrave, Governor of Queensland, sailed for Brisbane to-day, by the Orient steamship Soratn. A proclamation has been issued by the Irish Executive declaring certain parts of the counties of Mayo, Clare, and Limerick, to be disturbed districts. The force of constabulary now stationed there has been found to be insufficient to preserve order, and is to be strengthened. The Daily News in its issue this morning publishes a telegram from its correspondent in Natal stating that n message was sent by the Governor of that colony to Cetewnyo requiring his surrender, but was not in the form of an .ultimatum.
MAD RID, Sept 21.
Official denial has been given to reports that have recently been current here to the effect that King Alfonso, who is now on a visit to the German Emperor, is taking advantage of his presence at the German Court to bring about an alliance between the two countries.

It has transpired that the post of financial adviser to the Khedive has been offered' Mr Edgar Vincent, but that gentleman’s acceptance of the position is.not yet notified.

[REUTER —COPYRIGHT.] (Received Sept, 24, 1 a.m.) ADELAIDE, Sept. 23, Arrived this morning, Orient steamship Lusitania, from Plymouth, August 12. MELBOURNE, Sept. 23. Fourteen bars of gold which were stolen from the safe of the Commercial Bank of Australia, have been found on the bank premises. The son of the caretaker is suspected of the robbery, and has been arrested.
