HUGE ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE.
It is reported that Mr- Edison is building an electric locomotive of 375 indicated horse-power, and 6ft driving wheels, which is to be used on the Underground Railway in London, “ where smoke and vapors; are very offensive.” This engine is to haul from eight to ten passenger coaches at a high rate of speed—-from 40 to 50 miles an hour.
