DISCONTENT IN SAMOA.

AUCKLAND, This day.
Mr Lundon, formerly member ..for..the Bay of Islands, writes from Samoa that a : great deal of discontent prevailed there amongst both natives and Europeans with the nature of the government* and that a petition would be generally signed graying that the island should be annexed to New Zealand. The matter has been laid i before Sir 0. Grey who, recommends that a, form-of petition be drawn up under the Annexation Act of last session and forwarded to Mr Lundon to obtain signatures. ' :
