Accounts arc to hand of a dastardly outrage which has been committed at New Eoss, County Wexford. A party of forty harvesters who were engaged in getting in the crop's on a property in the vicinity of the town were boycotted by the residents. Subsequently, however, they were supplied with food which proves to have been poisoned. The atrocity was successful, two of the men having died, and another being in a critical state. VIENNA. Sept 3. It is announced that a military commander is to be appointed to administer the Govern, ment of the province of Croatia, in place of the Ban (Viceroy), who has hitherto filled the post. AUSTRALIAN.
