J AUCKLAND, This day.; The body of the unfortunate young man Allan, who is supposed to have committed suicide by drowning himself on Sunday the 2'Jth ult„ was found floating in the harbour early yesterday morning, close to the spot from where he is suspected- to have thrown himself into the water. In the pockets of the dead man’s clothing were found several letters addressed to him from various writers and from different parts of New Zealand and elsewhere. His post office savings bank book was also'found upon him. and showed that he had a sum of £l6 10s to his credit in the Bank, and that the last deposit was made just a week prior to his death. In addition he had a watch and chain on, and several rings on his fingers besides about £2 or £3 in money. The whole of the man’s face was eaten away.
