DROWNED IN A RIVER.
On Wednesday night two men had to cross the Waimakarin at Kaiapoi, when the boat capsized. One man got ashore, but, as the night was dark, he did not look for the As the latter made no appearance next morning his mate reported to the police, who dragged the river, and recovered the body of the deceased, who was named William Wilson, and well known in the district.
