CANTERBURY FREEZING COMPANY.
The annual meeting of the Refrigerating Company was held at Christchurch on Wednesday, when the report and balancesheet were adopted. Altogether 40,000 carcases have been sent Home by the Company, 31,000 of which went by four steamers —Marsalla, Sorrento, Fenstanton, and lonic. The Chairman of Directors stated that he considered a branch of the refrigerating works should be started at Oamaru, and he would take steps to that end.
