PATE A—YESTERDAY. (Before C. A. Wray, Esq.,-R.M.) BREACH OF BOROUGH BY-LAWS. Phillip Scown was charged with committing a breach of Section 100, of the Borough By-Laws by driving bullocks and dray on the footpath in Egmontstreet on the 21st July. Defendant pleaded gnilty. Constable Orozier stated that on Saturday, the 21st instant, about 2 o’clock he saw the defendant drive a team of bullocks across the footpath in Egmont-street from Mr Arthurs’ warehouse ; there was no crossing at the place. Defendant said he had put some wood in the gutter before he crossed. His Worship decided to dismiss the case with a caution. ’ This was all the business.
