GAOL ENQUIRY.
[per press association.] WELLINGTON, This day. The Dunedin Gaol enquiry was resumed this morning, when Mr Connolly, Minister of Justice, and Mr Dick, Colonial Secretary, were examined by Mr Solomon. The former declined to produce communications between Captain Hume and himself (Mr Connolly) or repeat conversation bntween them as being privileged. Mr Dick stated that when he was Minister ot Justice in May or June last year, the subject of an enquiry had been discussed, but he did not think the matter then ripe. ;
