THE HOSPITAL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As the Mayor has not taken any steps towards the management of the Hospital, also the (old women) members of the County Council not having made a movement in that direction, it will be as well for every ratepayer to consider the matter at once. If it should come to the worst, closing the above institution, yon will then find out- the necessity of keeping it open. Take for instance the case of poor Flynn; that will not be half so bad as the cases .-we shall have-, so I.only hope that every ratepayer will think over the matter, for if nothing is done this week, I shall do my best to get up a public meeting to talk the matter oyer, then I shall be able to tell yon a little more of the danger of allowing such an institution to be closed in a district like this. For shame,; you . men that aspire to high; positions and then don’t know how to 1 appreciate them.—Yours. &c., * _ James Lett.
