Sir Wm.'Gull, the eminent physician and author of the Report bn Cholera; compiled for the Royal College of Physicians, has written a letter in the press, in which he states his belief that the outbreak of cholera in Egypt will soon subside, and that in his opinion the reports to hand show that the disease exists only in its milder form, and is riot the malignant* epidemic, known as Asiatic Cholera. Captain Shaw, Superintendent of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade,has recovered from the injuries he sustained at the recent .fire in Long A.qre, and.has resumed his official duties.
