PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This day. A meeting of tbe~New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company vyas held to-day. Mr Thomas Russell, chairman, congratulated the shareholders on the prosperous -conditions of the colony and the company’s business. There were good openings; for their operations which; they Could not avail themselves of owing to insufficient capital and when he. reached England he would- consult the, London Board lon the question of providing further capital. Plans were exhibited of; the extensive officesv'and; stores in Melbourne found necessary to Tneet the Company’s extensive business in the neighbouring colonies.
