INDECENT LANGUAGE.

George Brown and Joseph Foley were charged with the above offence at lire R.M. Court this morning. It was alleged that on Sunday last the sportive twain had been imbibing at the shrine of the rosy god rather freely, and in the exuberance of their spirits created a disturbance in Bedford street, and while engaged in this pleasant pastime made use of improper language. Two or three witnesses were called, but the case against Brown was not substantiated, and he was accordingly dismissed, while Foley was mulcted in a penalty of 40s and costs. The Magistrate sad that the next offender brought ,before him, againgst whom the offence could be proved, would be severely dealt with. Sergt Donovan was about to apply for a prohibition order against Brown, when the Magistrate said that as the case was then dismissed it would ho necessary to make a fresh application.
