Barometer ; rise 1 at’- all places. I/Sea; heavy on 3 both coasts.'- 1 Warnings-jfor southerly gales and colder weather have been sent to all stations. Synopsis of last 48 hours:—On Saturday afternoon the barometer —commenced to fall, again slowly everywhere and it continued to do so until Sunday evening and since then it lias .risen slowly- at all. places south of/ Napier and • .New Plymouth. Hard westerly gales have been experienced al most places south of Napier and New Plymouth and a heavy sea on the western .coast.
