(per press association.) WELLINGTON, This day. Weather forecast from 9 a.m. to-day: Wind: Between northeast and southeast in both Islands. Barometer —Further fall at all stations. Sea—Heavy on both coasts. Warnings for gales as above indicated have been sent to all stations, and for heavy rainfall within 16 hours to all places north of Napier and New Plymouth. Synopsis of last 48 hours — During Saturday and until Sunday afternoon there were strong southerly winds on the East Coast between Kaikqnra and Gisborne with heavy easterly sea, but there was very little movement pL. the barometer anywhere until Sunday afternoon, and since then it has fallen steadily in all parts otthe country.
