THE VOLUNTEERS.

There will be no parade of the Patea Bifle Corps to-morrow evening, as the committee have to meet to transact company business, such as to settle up the sports affairs, and to arrange conditions for the shooting for the three company trophies, &c. The business, which was to have come on after parade to-morrow, might well be postponed for a week. The next inspection parade will take place on Tuesday, the 12th of June. It will be seen by the scores elsewhere that Volunteer Nutsford has won the McGuire Cup again and for ever this time. He certainly deserves it too, as no doubt he is a wonderfully steady shot. All persons having a claim on the Patea Rifle Corps are requested to send them in by to-morrow evening, either to the secretary or to the captain. The committee are also requested to attend the meeting at t.BO at their own office.
