WEATHER REPORT.
(per press association.) WELLINGTON, This day. Weather forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day:—Wind—between southwest and north-west at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between south-west and south-east at all other places. Barometer—rise at all stations. Sea—heavy on both coasts except between Napier and East Cape. Warnings for gales as above indicated have been sent to all stations. Synopsis of last 48 hours : During Saturday night there were heavy north-west to south-west gales at most places south of Napier and New Plymouth the weather moderating early on Sunday morning and the wind backing, but since then it has continued moderate generally. The barometer fell slowly everywhere until Sunday morning, and then moved down fast, falling quite four-tenths during the day, but it has risen slowly at all stations during th night.
