; WANGANUI STEEPLECHASE. About 800 people attended ihe above meeting on Thursday. The excitement iof the day was a dead beat for the big ; Handicap betweenDr Connolly’s Dhudeen and Mr J.-.Munn’p Ruabine. The tie ■was run off and resulted in an easy victory for tbe last mentioned horse. 'The Selling Steeplechase was won by Mr Keith’s Bugler. Dan was the only other starter. The Maiden fell to Dr Conolly’s Kgata, with Abolition second, and Reliance third.
