Sea: hdavy' oivwestern and between Napier and Lyttelton ; bn western coast. . Warnings'.. .for^westerly ; gales and wind backing, have been sent to all stations. Synopsis of last forty-eight hours: —During Saturday night the barometer commenced to rise at all stations and has continued to do so everywhere north of Napier and New Plymouth but from thence southward it fell a little during Sunday, and has risen during the -night.! t'There have been fresh northerly gales at most places from Napier to New Plymouth southwards to Lyttelton and Hokitika.
