■ ' ———♦ ——- [per press association.] WELLINGTON, This day., A Coroner’s inquiry, held at the instance of the police, took place at Waihenga yesterday into the circumstances connected with the destruction of the Waihenga Hotel two months ago. The jury found there was no evidence to show how the fire originated. They considered that the chimnies were defective in construction, and further they believed that they were foul through not having been swept.
