MESSRS NOLAN, TONES, AND CO’S MONTHLY REPORT. During the month all kind? of cattle, except well forward steers, have been at a discount, Sheep of all classes there has been more enquiry for, and have been ruling at good rates, and fourid ready sale at the hammer. Cattle. —At our Hawera yards on the sth ult., 400 head came forward, the half of which were disposed of. At Manaia, on the 12th ultimo, 380 head were yarded, but being mostly female stock very few sold. At Hawera, on the 3rd instant, 200 head were yarded, and all were so'd at the hammer, bidding being spirited, and prices an improvement on late values. At Mr Colin Cameron’s unreserved clearing sale there was a large attendance, and everything was quitted at extreme rates. Dairy cows brought from £5 to £9 5s ; 18-month-old hand-fed heifers, £3 10s : weaners, 82s horses, £5 to £l2 10s. —We quote—Weaners, 22s to 28s ; mixed yearlings, £2 5s ; 18-month-old heifers, £2 to £2 5s ; 18-month-old steers, £1 10s ; 3-year-old steers, £5 ss. SHEEP. —Throughout the month about 2500 have passed through our hands at the prices below—Well forward wethers, 12s 6d ; fat ewes, 11s; store mixed sheep, 6s 6d to 9s ; lambs in wool, 7s; shorn lambs, 5s 6d to 8s 3d. Horses. —No demand, and very few passed from the vendor.
