Robert Whittem was charged on the information of the registrar of births; deaths, and marriages with a breach of the above act by neglecting to register a male child, born in September 1882, of which he was the father. , , , ~ . Defendant pleaded Guilty, and stated tna he bad intended to register the child sooner, but that being seldom in town he had forgotten about it. ' , ~ 1 The plaintiff did not press for a penally and His Worship inflicted a fine of 10s and costs.
