COMING LAND SALES-

The Gazette of May B contains particulars of lands for lease and for sale by cash in the Opunake district. In the former case 2264 acres are open. The sections are situated in Blocks XIII and XIV and the areas range from 105 to 275 acres; The upset prices vary from Is 9d to 2s 6d, the average being about 2s. Section 28. XIII, Kanpokouni, is also open at an upset of Is 9d. The land is situated near Opunake, and consists of fairly level bush country; soil good, and well watered. Tenders have to be lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Patea, on June I2tb, and will be opened the following day. At Hawera, on June 15th, 2615 acres will be sold. : The sections are similar in quality and description to the above, and are situated in the same blocks. There are 17 sections in all, from 100 acres up to 320, the upset mostly being £1 Iss Od and £2 per acre.' Plans, may be_obtained at the Land office after the 15th instant.
