•- ■ " HAWERA SALE. There was a large attendance at Messrs Nolan, Tonks, and Co’s sale on Thursday. Bidding was brisk, and prices showed some improvement. A pen of good cows with calves sold for Is : calves fetched from 22s to 28s ; 18-months-old steers fetched £3 2s; heifers, £2. A couple ,of good milch cows were passed in. Fat ewes fetched 10s. 3d : • fat lambs, 8s ; good sto:e lambs, 6s 7d. Working bullocks sold at £5 10s each. At Normanby, on Wednesday, Messrs. Nolan, Touts, and Co will sell 200 store ewes and other entries, also a three-acre section and dwelling-house. ' :
