The six days’ walking contest between Edwards)and O’Leary for £2oo’ a side was concluded to-night, and Was Won by the former by seven miles. The distances covered were—Edwards, 466 miles, and O’Leary 459. Edwards thus covered the greatest distance yet recorded in the colonies. Great excitement prevailed at the finish.
