Wind—between southeast and north-east at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between north-west and south-west at nil other places. Barometer—further fall at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth. Rise at all other places soon, but falling again after sixteen hours. Seaheavy on eastern coast north of Napier, bnt moderate elsewhere. Warnings for easterly gales have been sent to all stations north of Napier and Wanganui. Synopsis of last 24 hours :—ln all parts of the country the barometer has fallen steadily. The wind has been generally moderate, and from the northward.
