MORE INHUMANITY at DUNEDIN.
[per press association.] DUNEDIN, April 28. The Star to-night states that what looks very much like another case of inhuman treatment has been reported to them; The allegations are that the father, a widower, who resides near Forhury Racecourse, on going to bis daily work, leaves his four-year-old son locked up in a garden, the gates and doors being securely fastened; that a scanty meal is left for the child, whose sole shelter from the weather, if it is bad, is afforded by a shed, in which lie has been known to lay for hours until his father returns at seven o’clock at night; and that the child’s screams have at least attracted notice, the neighbours declaring that, if this course of treatment does not cease, they will see if the lather cannot be compelled to treat the child more humanely. ,1
