MISSING MONEY

About a month since, a man named Patrick Bradley, a navvy working on the Whenuakura Railway Contract, .reported to the police that he had lost 4 £5 notes, of which he gave the numbers, in Odgcr’s hotel. One of the notes was subsequently traced to Mr Jns Sullivan ( hotelkeeper of. Kakaramca, but it was ascertained that Bradley had changed the note at the hotel the day he reported losing the money, His mates who were in the unenviable position of being suspected of stealing the notes, state that Bradley, when drunk, is constantly reporting loss of his money.
