♦ [per press association.] AUCKLAND. April 5." The South Australian Farmers’ delegates have purchased 7000 acres in the Waikato. Farquhar Mcllae, late headmaster of the Auckland College, and brother-in-law of Justice Gillies, leaves for Dunedin to-day. He enters the office of Messrs Stewart and Denniston, and intends qualifying himself to pass as a barrister. The Mormon faith is making headway among the Maoris at Cambridge, about 80 natives having given adhesion to the creed. At present the concerts are being looked after by a native es-catechist of the of England. The Tauranga Guardian has lication. -
