(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. Jossop and Richard Peck were found guilty in the still cases and each fined £ 100 or six months imprisonment. It is tolerably certain that the fines will be paid. The defence set up was that Jessep was experimenting in making a bitter beer partly from flax, and started at Stoney Creek to secure secrecy. The other cases are being heard now.
